When someone else has to sign

Is a signature added to a PDF binding?
In the United States, the federal ESIGN Act and the state laws based on the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act give an electronic signature the same legal effect as one on paper for most business documents, when the person means to sign. What a picture of a signature does not carry is evidence of who put it there; the record kept by a signing service is that evidence.
