Prepare once. Let each person sign their part.
An NDA, statement of work, offer letter or client agreement follows the same path. Start from your own files or a reusable template.
01
Review the document packet
Upload your files and check their order. Remove or replace a file while the packet is still a draft, and review any fields affected by the change.
See the sending guide02
Check fields and recipients
Review suggested fields, assign each signature, initial and date, and confirm the recipients. Choose everyone at once or a signing order.
03
Send when you are ready
A person reviews the prepared document and presses Send. Recipients read it, fill their fields and deliberately confirm their signature on a phone or computer.
04
Keep the completed agreement
Track who is still waiting. When signing is complete, keep the signed PDF and its certificate with the signing record.
Understand the signing evidence
The contract and the work around it
- A clear task for each signer
- Each recipient sees their own fields. Saved non-signature answers can be recovered after a reload; an unsubmitted signature requires deliberate confirmation.
- A record with the signed PDF
- The completion certificate records the people and signing events. Check a completed ShareSign file.
- Documents to share after signing
- Use a data room to organise agreements and diligence files. Review the destination and access before publishing a file or inviting a reader.
- Preparation in your assistant
- Use ChatGPT or Claude to prepare a contract draft. Start with your PDF or agreement text; a template is optional. Assistant access is included on Free within its resource limits. Review the draft in ShareSign, then send and sign deliberately.
- Sign before a closing
- Collect signatures before the closing and keep them held until an authorised release. See how signature pages are held in escrow. Closing workflows require Business.
